Exhibition: A Baker’s Dozen

Four of my wood-fired porcelain vessels will be included in the show, A Baker’s Dozen: The Versatile World of Clay, at the Brother Kenneth Chapman Gallery of Iona College in New Rochelle, NY.  The show runs from January 21 – February 20, 2014.

Mask It: Reductive Surface Design Workshop

Please join me at the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY on July 20th for a special 3-hour surface design workshop. I will be demonstrating my techniques for achieving ornate surface patterns using cut paper, latex and wax resist to create decoration with slip and glazes. The workshop will include instructions on how to plan and lay out an overall pattern. We will also discuss the aesthetics of choosing patterns that work with the ceramic form. Spring 2011 Pottery Classes

This spring I am teaching “Wheel Throwing” for beginner and intermediate students on Thursday mornings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  at Brick House Ceramic Art Center in Long Island City.

Clay-Holiday Sale

Some of my wood-fired pieces will be included in Clay Art Center’s annual holiday sale. Clay Art Center is located at 40 Beech St., Port Chester, NY – tel. (914)937-2047. The opening reception will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m. Sale hours will continue on Friday, December 3rd from 10 to 7; Saturday, December 4th from 10 to 4; and Sunday, December 5th from 12 to 4. The sale will continue in the Shop at CAC through December 23rd.

Fall 2010 Classes
